Front Line Managers and Supervisors

We all know that great managers and supervisors are critical in keeping our operatives and customers, safe, healthy & well. A network of experienced front line managers (FLM's) and supervisors from Thames Water, J Browne Construction, Skanska, Barhale and Clancy have shared details about their roles, why it’s important, and offered advice to aspiring leaders.

These FLM's and supervisors are proud to be part of the Thames Water family, delivering a great service for our customers and keeping our people safe. They also all share the behaviours and attitudes needed to make a great manager, along with offering tips on coping with pressure and effective communication with teams in the field; these are available in a series of videos and posters on the H&S Hub.

Please promote these FLM’s & Supervisors by displaying the posters in your workplace, and discussing with your teams how you can support your FLM’s and Supervisors to be the best they can be for our Thames Water family and your own organisations.

Joe Hall, Head of health, safety & wellbeing, who helped to launch the network along with Jeremy Browne, said, “This has been a fantastic exercise which has really highlighted the hard work and dedication needed for these vitals roles.
